Salone del Mobile 2013: Roros Tweed

Deep down in Norway there is a tradition of handcraft and textile production in the land of Roros, an old mining town which turned from copper to wool and changed its fate forever.

Roros Tweed, founded in 1940, has received many times the Norwegian Design Award for Design excellence. Today the company  brings on the tradition of the region by selecting only the purest wool of Norwegian sheeps, combined with traditional crafting techniques and the contribution of textile artists and leading scandinavian designers. More chilly nights to cocoon in these blankets please!
